Apprenticeships commence February 2023 and follow the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board’s (ECITB) endorsed Apprenticeship Standards for Steel Erecting or Fabricating.

Apprentices spend the first year in full-time college at Training 2000  Blackburn, learning the key skills of engineering both practical and academic, and gaining Level 2 and 3 Qualifications in this discipline.
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
This first year requires travelling to T2000’s facilities, transport for which may be provided and funded by the company, in addition to a substantial learner wage where apprentices earn while they learn.

In October of 2023, apprentices commence on the job mentoring and assessments on construction sites at any location within the UK.
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
During this time, learners progress through the ECITB pathway for a period of 2 further years to complete the Standard and achieve the highest Level 3 Qualification in either Erecting or Fabricating (Engineering Construction).
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
Applicants require a high level of physical fitness and to be comfortable with living and working away from home after the first year of college.
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
The career will entail working both outdoors and at height. A willingness to embrace these aspects and to have a high regard for safety and respect of the environment is essential for meeting our expectations and those of our clients.
• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •
